CodeFest 2025 Provincial Phase Kicks Off in Dang, Ghorahi: More Than Ten Teams Compete Under the Theme “Farm the Future”

The provincial-level event has drawn over ten eager teams from different districts, such as Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Pyuthan, and nearby areas. Each team consists of enthusiastic students and young innovators. They are competing to create and present practical solutions that link technology with agriculture, business, and industry. According to the officials of CodeForChange Dang, the competition includes coding challenges, idea pitching, and hackathon rounds, where participants create solutions based on this year’s “Farm the Future” theme. The event not only highlights the creativity of local youth but also helps them improve teamwork, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
CodeForChange Dang is a youth-led tech community focused on empowering students and professionals through technology, teamwork, and hands-on learning. Over the years, the organization has held many workshops, training programs, and community initiatives that encourage innovation and digital skills in Dang. Through CodeFest 2025, they want to motivate young developers to view technology as a way to bring about change and growth in their communities.
This year’s CodeFest in Dang kicked off with an orientation session where all participating teams received information about event guidelines, project themes, and judging criteria. As in previous editions, the Provincial Phase winners from Dang will advance to represent their province at the National Level Hackathon in Kathmandu.
